Ken is a lawyer with over 20 years of experience and practises exclusively in the areas of Canadian immigration and citizenship law with an emphasis on business immigration. Ken advises a diverse clientele including small and larger corporations, highly skilled and well-educated individuals and families who wish to live and work in Canada by crafting personalized immigration strategies for each of his clients.
Ken has successfully filed Canadian immigration applications in relation to Work Permits (Labour Market Opinion-based, NAFTA, Intra-Company Transfer, Post-Graduation), Business Visitor Visas, Permanent Residence (Federal Skilled Worker, CEC, PNP), Study Permits, Permanent Residence Card renewals and Canadian citizenship applications. Ken has deep experience advising small and large corporate clients who require the transfer of key executives, owner-managers and specialized knowledge and highly skilled workers to expand their business enterprises in Canada. Ken has worked with clients from countries and regions all over the world, including the USA, Italy, Germany, Austria, Japan, China, India, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Turkey, Russia, Brazil as well as a number of countries in Africa and the Middle East, including; Egypt, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Jordan, Bahrain, Lebanon and the United Arab Emirates.
Prior to starting his own firm, Ken was the Managing Lawyer at a leading Canadian immigration boutique law firm located in downtown Toronto. He articled and was an associate in the Corporate Finance/M&A group of McCarthy Tétrault LLP, one of Canada's leading national business law firms. He brings a truly international perspective to his work, which is shaped by his extensive travel and work experience abroad, including having worked in the legal departments of First Pacific Company Limited, a publicly listed Hong Kong based, multi-national conglomerate and the Tokyo office of a leading U.S. Investment bank. Ken also studied international law in Hong Kong and Tokyo, Japan.
In his spare time, Ken is avid photographer and traveller. He twice completed the ‘Camino de Santiago’, a 850km+hiking route across Northern Spain; trekked through the northern Sahara, climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, the Grossglockner in Austria and Mt. Aso (Naka-daka, an active volcano) in Japan.
